We are very pleased to announce that Pharmacy Catalyst have had two very worthy Pharmacists receive award recognition for their passion driving health initiatives and programs for their community. Peter Crothers (Towers Drug Co) has just been awarded the PSA Pharmacist of the Year. This comes off the back of winning the Pharmacy Catalyst Pharmacist of the Year award in May. Well done Pete! Pete is a long-standing Catalyst member and one that encourages us to consider how we can be better in every facet of pharmacy.
And a big congratulations to Brad Butt and Cooleman Court Life Pharmacy for winning the inaugural Australian Patient’s Association Most Outstanding Community Pharmacy Award last night in Melbourne. Brad and the team’s focus on becoming a Men’s Health specialist is certainly inspiring.
Cooleman Court Life Pharmacy were also recently awarded the $1000 People’s Choice Award for their Life Cardiac Clinic program – aimed at supporting patients with cardiovascular disease after their first cardiovascular event – at the PSA’s Shark Tank event, where finalists (including Brad Butt and Brooke Veasey from Cooleman Court Life Pharmacy,) pitched their ideas to the ‘shark’ judges and fielded questions in front of a live audience. Well done, team!
Also, hearty congratulations to two of Pharmcy Catalyst’s long-standing members, Phil Dibben and Karen Carter, who were announced as new Fellows by The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia in recognition of their outstanding contribution to PSA and the pharmacy profession.
What an extraordinary year for awards!
